Description
The LIV capsule is a natural food supplement formulated from GM-1 Polysaccharide Synergistic Complex of mangosteen extract powder and Centella asiatica juice powder, and enhanced with SG-Protein Synergistic Complex of black sesame extract, guava fruit juice powder and isolated soy protein.
The type of CD4 cells that HIV destroys most are Th17 cells which are an essential part of the immune system.
Once a person is affected with HIV, the virus penetrates into their white blood cells known as CD4 which are responsible in boosting the immune system. The virus then destroys those CD4 cells and moves to destroy other CD4 cells. HIV hides in the white blood cells making it difficult to detect and kill.
As the immune system of HIV-affected persons weaken, they become prone to other opportunistic infections caused by bacteria, fungi and other viruses. Increasing Th17 cells can help control the spread of HIV. A study revealed that if the body has adequate Th17 cells, these Th17 cells will act like a vaccine for the body against HIV.
Research conducted on 27 HIV-affected volunteers by Prof. Dr. Watchara Kasinrerk (APCO Chair Professor) and Nopporn Pattanapornpun, MD (Director Of Mae-On Hospital in Chiang Mai), showed that the CD4 cell counts in HIV patients increased significantly after taking four LIV capsules daily for 3-6 months. APCO has since donated a life-time supply of LIV capsules to the 27 HIV-affected volunteers who took part in this research study.
LIV Capsules are proven to stimulate Th17
At Baan Gerda Children’s Rights Foundation, APCO has given LIV capsules to HIV-infected children who were taking antiretroviral drugs and suffering from opportunistic diseases.
Test Results of Tests on the Use of LIV Capsules by HIV-Affected Patients:
- After taking 4 LIV capsules a day for 12 months, the opportunistic diseases symptoms were remedied and their CD4 count increased by an average of 67.34%.
- A group of children who were already taking antiretroviral drugs but whose CD4 count had not increased for the previous 6 months had an average increase of 32.45% in their CD4 count after taking 9 LIV capsules a day for 3 months.
Increasing Th17 Cells in the Gut May Improve the Control of HIV Growth

A 2012 study published in Science Translational Medicine investigated the role of Th17 cells in controlling simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV), a virus related to HIV, using rhesus macaques.
Key findings:
-
Gut immune protection: Th17 cells help maintain the intestinal barrier by stimulating antimicrobial defences and supporting tight junctions between intestinal cells.
-
Reduced viral load: Rhesus macaques with higher Th17 cell levels in their blood and intestinal tissues before SIV infection subsequently had lower viral loads.
-
Immune imbalance: Animals treated with a drug that suppressed Th17 cell development experienced faster disease progression and higher SIV levels six months after infection.
-
Potential therapeutic target: The findings suggest that preserving or enhancing Th17 cell function could help maintain gut integrity, reduce harmful immune activation and potentially improve control of viral replication.
